Ghost VPN
A no-account VPN for iPhone built on WireGuard®. Open the app, tap Connect, and your traffic is tunnelled through a server we operate.
- Automatic setup. The device registers itself with Apple App Attest; there is no sign-up, login or invitation code.
- Private keys stay on the phone. Each device generates its own key pair and stores it in the iOS Keychain; the private key never leaves the device.
- Full-tunnel IPv4 and IPv6 with tunnel DNS, so lookups go through the VPN too.
- Verified status. The app only reports “Connected” after a recent server handshake, and shows real transfer counters.
- No advertising SDKs, no analytics accounts. Aggregate server health is the only telemetry we collect.

How Ghost VPN is built
iOS app
Swift and SwiftUI with a Network Extension packet-tunnel provider running WireGuardKit. Light and dark appearance, Dynamic Type, and a reusable VPN module.
Control plane
Firebase and Google Cloud in Doha (me-central1): enrolment API, device leases, and an operations dashboard with server-health history and alerts.
Network
Hardened Linux WireGuard nodes with firewall isolation, health reporting every minute and independent lease expiry. VPN traffic never passes through Firebase.
